Old Sheraton Road

This location of Hurghada is very popular as it is on a coastal road with uninterrupted seaview, located between New Sheraton Road and Old Village Road Mamsha. It is popular with those requiring a nice peaceful stroll and the advantage of wonderful views of the coast and the Red Sea. Here are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants en route, therefore allowing you to stop and relax along with beaches for a few hours relaxation if required.

At the bottom of New Sheraton Road a traffic island signals the start of Old Sheraton Road, featuring Zeitlos Bäckerei and Restaurant and HangOut Café, Bar & Eat and a plethora of beaches such as Hun Summer Village, Sunrise Beach, Orange Beach, Anemone Beach and Ramosa Beach.

One of Old Sheraton’s landmarks is the Retro Coffee Shop & Sports Bar on your right hand side, showing all British & European football league matches.

From here your stroll leads you past Granada Restaurant & Pub to the View Promenade, comprising Carlito Deli, Dolce Vita, the Grill House and La Imperiatora Italian restaurant

Once you have passed the derelict hotel on your left hand side, that gave rise to the road’s name, Old Sheraton, you will hit the Elysees Dream and Old Vic beaches and the very popular Bull Restaurant & European Bakery.

El Kawther

El Kawther District is widely considered as the ‘heart of Hurghada’ with its large contingency of international residents, holiday makers and many new and exciting developments . It has a reputation as a prime district for real estate investment for short and long term residents alike. There is a wide and excellent choice of local attractions, amenities and facilities to suit everyone .

In terms of dining out, there are a vast range of eateries to choose from with many different flavours and cultures. One ‘kitchen’ that stands out is the traditional oriental cuisine of Om Yassin in the close vicinity of the British Resort and Abu Ashara Supermarket. El Kawther is also home to the authentic English tearoom Purrfect Cuppa and the exquisite SquiRolls  Ice Cream Rolls & Waffles opposite the Egyptian Hospital.

The Egyptian Hospital is in Central El Kawther in Metro Street and next to Barclays Bank in walking distance. One of El Kawther’s main streets is named Metro street after the supermarket chain and runs from Mohamed Saeed Street near the Sinbad Hotel to the Airport .

The other main street runs from the traffic island at Old Vic beach towards the airport. It accommodates several international banks, Samr & Ali Stationery, La Pomme pastry & bakery, Ramada Cafe Lounge, Bestway Supermarket, Woods Coffee Lounge and the Coffeeshop Company.

El Mamsha

El Mamsha District is a very popular area known as Old Village Road and is very  central to El Kawther district. It has a lot to offer. The main attraction is the lovely Mamsha Promenade which begins at the end of Hadaba district, heading south and leading into the Intercontinental district, known for its 5 star hotels.

Intercontinental District

The Intercontinental District of Hurghada stretches about 8 to 9 kilometres north from Old Village Road in El Mamsha along the promenade into a new and expansive area. Situated on the coast, the Intercontinental District is famous for its 5 star luxury hotels and resorts. In fact, the Intercontinental District is a continuation of the El Mamsha promenade. The start of the continuation is signalled the Egyptair Head office , the Police Headquarters, the Tourist Information Office, the Marine Sports Club  and the Central Mosque for Intercontinental.

The area becomes really lively when reaching the Grand Resort & Hotel, the Grand shopping centre and Hard Rock Café. The following phase are the 5 star hotels & resorts which gives the area its name, such as the Steigenberger Hotel & Aqua Magic Resort, the Movenpick Resort Hurghada ( Landmark for the area), the Hilton Hotel & resorts and the Grand Plaza Hotel & Resort.

Heading south and away from the Intercontinental District, along the Airport Road, and about a 15 minutes journey, is the Senzo Mall. Here you will find an array of up to date modern shopping facilities with the largest supermarket in Hurghada known as Spinneys. Along with this are many famous retail brands both in clothing and food and beverages. There is also an extremely large indoor play area and crèche for children.
